Certification Board

The State Board for Certification of Sewage Enforcement Officers (Certification Board) is a body of people appointed by the secretary of DEP to review certification exam scores to verify whether the SEO candidate has passed the exam. If the SEO candidate has passed the test, the Certification Board will issue an SEO certification. The Certification Board also conducts hearings if an SEO appeals his or her suspended or revoked certification.

Precertification Candidate

Anyone interested in becoming an SEO may obtain information about the certification exam from the Certification Board. (PSATS provides information about the mandatory training and skills testing required before sitting for an exam.)

Certified SEO

Any certified SEO with questions regarding certification or the training that is necessary to remain certified should contact the Certification Board. The Board keeps all of the official training records for SEOs. (PSATS provides information about the training courses and available training.)

Training Credit Report

The Certification Board will send a training status report via e-mail when requested. To request a training status report, e-mail dabecker@state.pa.us, give your SEO number, and ask for a training status report.
