SEOs may take an optional Web-Based posttest to cover the material taught in a classroom course. The test is not mandatory; it provides an opportunity for SEOs to earn
additional
continuing education credits.
You must successfully complete the classroom course to take the optional posttest for that course. After successfully completing the course, PSATS will register you to take the posttest. You will have three tries to score 70 percent or above on the test. If you do not score at least 70 percent on one of the three tries, you must take the classroom course again before you can try to take the test again. If the classroom course is retaken in a different certification cycle from the first time the course was taken, continuing education credits will be awarded for retaking the course.
For example, if you took a course in the 2004-2006 certification cycle, you may take it again in the 2006-2008 certification cycle and receive credits again for successfully completing the course. However, the posttest may only be taken once for credit, even if you are taking the classroom course again.
For information about what courses you have
taken, please call the state Certification Board at (717) 772-5158
or e-mail csansoni@state.pa.us.
For information about the posttests, please contact PSATS at (717) 763-0930 or e-mail at seo@psats.org
The test questions will come from the workbook material for that particular course.
Web-based posttests can be accessed 24 hours a day by visiting www.seotraining.org, and clicking on "Available Training, Continuing Education, Web-Based Posttests." You will need to check the website to see when new tests are available.
Upon completion of a posttest, the SEO will receive continuing education credit hours. Credit hours vary for each individual test. The credit hours for each test are listed below.
There are no fees to take the posttests.
